答: Acturally, C6000 have only one memory space, include Data and Prog memory.
The I/O also be mapping to memory space, can be accessed through EDMA and
EMIF bus.
2.問(wèn): TMS320C6712 的 32 位浮點(diǎn)特性與以往推出系列相比,有哪些優(yōu)勢(shì),可提
供哪些性能,存在哪些不足?
答: It support IEEE_SP32 and IEEE_DP32 and IEEE_DP64 float_point. Compare
with C3x, it has strong C compiler and also good development tool CCS.
3.問(wèn): TI 能否盡可能將閃存集成在今后的 DSP產(chǎn)品中,以減少外設(shè)和提高線路精
度?
答: TI 具備將 FLASH 集成到 DSP中的能力。但是不同的用途有不同的要求。所
以我們針對(duì)用量較大的客戶會(huì)進(jìn)行集成以滿足客戶要求。
4.問(wèn): Is 6712, 6711 and 6701 all pin compatible?
答: Yes, they are all compatible.
5.問(wèn): 以 5409 為例,很多 DSP 產(chǎn)品在使用前必需進(jìn)行內(nèi)存分配,該工作目前由
用戶自己進(jìn)行,雖提供了很大的靈活性,但對(duì)經(jīng)驗(yàn)較少的人來(lái)說(shuō)會(huì)耗費(fèi)很多不必
要的精力,所以請(qǐng)問(wèn) TI 能否在發(fā)貨時(shí)就為芯片提供標(biāo)準(zhǔn)的配置文件?
答: DSP link comand file is effective tool to manage DSP memory configuration to
improve system feature. DSP BIOS has visuable tool to deliver the function.
6.問(wèn): 請(qǐng)問(wèn) DSP與 CPU、MPU有什么區(qū)別?
答: The structure of DSP is difference from CPU/MPU. In DSP, there are different
memory for data and instruction. And it focus on computing not flow management.
7.問(wèn): TI 能否為其 DSP產(chǎn)品提供更加靈活的外設(shè)以滿足多樣的應(yīng)用需要?
答 : Yes. In C6000, we have peripherals as these McBSP, HPI/Expension
BUS/PCI,EMIF(can connect with SBSRAM, SDRAM, Async RAM flush ROM
SRM), DMA/EDMA, timers etc.
8.問(wèn): 請(qǐng)問(wèn)"數(shù)字信號(hào)處理器"的對(duì)象是什么?
答: wireless communication, broadband internet access, image process, modem,
disital motor control ... We believe it can be used in every internet action, every bit.
9.問(wèn): TI的DSP產(chǎn)品的C代碼編譯效率低, 常使開(kāi)發(fā)者感到其結(jié)果不能達(dá)到預(yù)期,

答: The C6000 C compiler performance can reach 70-80%. This is just because the
from the beginning time of C6000 core design, the RISC like structure have make the
C compiler and optimizer can be easy design and reach high performance. That means
the C optimizer is begin from basic hardware design. So the question is true for other
DSP, for C6000 good C compiler is our strong point.
10.問(wèn): TI 公司的 DSP 有什么特點(diǎn)?即在處理速度、存儲(chǔ)量、接口以及軟件編程
等方面有什么特點(diǎn)?
答: For C6000, it is the most advanced DSP, our C64x can run at 700Mhz to 1.1Ghz,
the memory space for C6000 can be 32 bits wide. And we have DSP/BIOS which is
industry proved and free real time kernal can help engineer design more easy and
focus on their application.
11.問(wèn): DSP是不是擴(kuò)大了功能的單片機(jī)?
答: No.
12.問(wèn): 在未來(lái),DSP是否有代替 CPU的可能?
答: TI believe that in the coming internet era, many application engines will be driven
by DSP such as image, communication, digital consumer appliances. CPU can be
used as a controller, DSP will be used for specific functions.
13.問(wèn): DSP 與 FPGA 的區(qū)別?性能及用途方面。
答: DSP can be reprogramble offline and online, have more flexible than FPGA.
20.問(wèn):TI的 DSP是否可以真正實(shí)現(xiàn)實(shí)時(shí)進(jìn)行 MPEGII 編解碼,技術(shù)支持是否能
足夠?
答:Yes. You need to do MPEG codec with c64x。
21.問(wèn):TI 的 DSP產(chǎn)品中,對(duì) USB的支持情況是什么樣的?我要做一個(gè) USB接
口的高速數(shù)據(jù)采集卡,應(yīng)該選用什么型號(hào)的DSP和 AD芯片?
答:We do have c5509 DSP which support USB。
22.問(wèn):dsp/bios 中的 system clock,是否是用于系統(tǒng)的任務(wù)、調(diào)度、周期任務(wù)的
管理?如果不用外部事件,使用 system clock將要占用一個(gè)定時(shí)器硬件資源,那
么這個(gè)定時(shí)器就不能用于定時(shí)、計(jì)數(shù)等正常。我的理解對(duì)嗎?
答:是的。
29.問(wèn):用 dsp 硬件仿真設(shè)備調(diào)試 usb 接口板等設(shè)備時(shí),與脫機(jī)調(diào)試,在時(shí)序及其

30.問(wèn):1.3.3V的 DSP 能否與 5V的 A/D相連接 2.目前設(shè)計(jì)一個(gè)浮點(diǎn)的系統(tǒng)采用

答:1. No. You need a level shifting IC between them.2. If you need an high
performance floating DSP, I recommend C6000. For more details, you could refer to

34.問(wèn):1.DSP芯片內(nèi)是否有單個(gè)的隨機(jī)函數(shù)指令?2.DSP內(nèi)的計(jì)算速度是快的,
但是它的I/O口的交換速度有多快呢?3.DSP如何配合EPLD或FPGA工作呢?
答:1. No.2. Depeneded on which I/O you are referring. For HPI, the transfer rate
(in bytes) could be about 1/4 of CPU clock. For McBSP, the bit rate (kbps) could be
about 1/2 CPU clcok.3. You could cascade the emuation interface with the one on
EPLD/FPGA. Please see the following application notes for

答:1. Yes. Since the operating frequency could be higher than 100MHz. 2. You could
